Firstack Gate Driver Core Overview
BeiLuo supplies genuine Firstack gate driver cores, the digital building blocks that deliver precise drive signals and instantaneous, dependable protection to an IGBT or SiC MOSFET. A driver core is not a complete driver but the intelligent heart of one: it integrates the digital controller, the isolation, the power supply and the protection, and a designer adds the interface and the power stage around it. Firstack's digital technology produces lower electromagnetic interference than an analog driver and adds high reliability, high flexibility and high intelligence, with protection that includes short-circuit detection, undervoltage lockout, soft shutdown, active clamping and intelligent fault management. The 2FHC family spans a drive power from about 2 W to 6 W and a peak current from 15 A to 60 A, with maximum breakdown voltages from 1700 V to 3300 V, so a designer can match the core to a wide range of IGBT and SiC modules from different manufacturers. The multi-level topology support and the configurable protection make the core suitable for industrial motor drives, energy-storage converters and power transmission, as well as photovoltaic and rail applications. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the core for your module, set the gate resistors and protection thresholds, and verify the design on the bench, so a driver design reaches production with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a gate driver core?
A driver core is the intelligent heart of a gate driver: the digital controller, isolation, power supply and protection, without the interface or power stage. The designer adds those around it to build a driver matched to a specific module and topology.
It gives the flexibility to customise while keeping the protection proven.
How do I choose the drive power?
Match the drive power and peak current to your module's gate charge and switching frequency. A larger module with a higher gate charge needs more drive power, and a higher switching frequency raises the average drive power. The 2FHC family spans 2 W to 6 W, so there is a core for most modules.
Our FAE team can confirm the drive power for your module.
What protection does the core include?
The 2FHC cores include short-circuit detection, undervoltage lockout, soft shutdown, active clamping and, in the higher-power parts, intelligent fault management. The soft shutdown and active clamping suppress the turn-off spike during a fault, which protects the module.
Our FAE team can explain the protection sequence.
How do I set the gate resistors?
The gate turn-on and turn-off resistors set the switching speed and therefore the balance between loss and overshoot. Start from the datasheet recommendation, then tune the resistors on the bench. Some modules use multi-level turn-off, in which several resistors shape the turn-off in stages.
Our FAE team can review your gate resistors.
